Memory Lane

Been going though some of my old stuff, looking for ideas, so many characters I want to revisit, so many stories I want to draw out. They're a lot of mistakes with these old ones know doubt, but a lot of them were great stepping stones for me.

I just realized I never posted this here, it's from some time ago, but I still like despite the mistakes.

"Pilgrimage" Splash Page

Made this as part of the prologue for my comic project, but I'm having lots of trouble figuring out how to draw out the opening, while I do like this page, it does capture what I need of the opening. I think I'll have to do a billion thumbnails before I find one that fits, luckily this is a page that will be of use a little later in the story.

My scanner hates light blue, and always scans it funky. Oh well. Anyway this is Shahal, from my story idea called, Pilgrimage. About a man (Shahal) who swallowed an evil Djinn and must go to a floating city in order to purge himself of it.

Digital Painting Practice

Second attempt ever of a digital painting.

All Work and No play...

Makes me very sad, first piece of artwork I've done that was not related to work this month, it's not very good, but it was great stress relief. In other news finished one of the clean-up tests for Titmouse.

Well now it's back to work.

More Legacy Art + updates

First here is my most recent completed painting.

 These three here are from left to right: Araneda, Nylil, and Maieve, they are my comic partner's characters. Have another one in the works, it's one of the main male characters from the story, need to check on how chapter 2 is coming along, will probably start thumb-nailing chapter one.  I'm really only using water colors for my primary coloring, as I wanted to get better with them, I think I should have used watercolor instead of the colored pencil on the door painting cause it's a little to bright. :( Oh well, life goes on. 

Aside from that, Internship at Augenblick is going well, still haven't found a part-time job or anything, trying not to let it get me down, and the storyboard for my freelance project got approved so, gotta start animating on that now. 

I'm thinking of maybe doing a short comic, since it doesn't seem Legacy will be getting started for a while.

Water Color Practice

Painting has been something I've always wanted to get good at, but I always have had trouble. I really'd like to get better with water color, I'm actually not to bad with Gouache so, I've decided that all the pieces I do will have water color in them somewhere if I choose to color them. So here is a piece I did to practice more to come.

Nothing special as you can clearly see, my characters from my comic project Legacy.

This is an illustration that I did for my comic project "Odine" which is on hold until "Legacy" really gets going. I'm really trying to improve my color theory, I was trying to push the depth with this one.
